Maratua Island, East Kalimantan, Indonesia


Maratua Island is part of the government's Berau, East Kalimantan province. Maratua is one of the island cluster of islands Derawan. The island is still 'virgin', because of its beautiful beaches are very clear. Slightly different from the Derawan island already soiled due to human activities. Maratua island not far from the Derawan island about 90 minutes by speedboat.


The natural beauty on the island Maratua like painting the maestro world. The redness in the west coast of the island making horizon is so beautiful. Plus crystal clear sea water like a stretch of glass make this island as a paradise that fell to earth. Moreover in this island there are two lakes namely Haji Buang Lake and Tanah Bamban Lake. Foreign tourists often visit this island for snorkeling and diving. No wonder Maratua island known as Paradise Island, paradise for divers and marine tour hunters.



In the surrounding waters are a marine park and is renowned as a tourist submarine (diving) with a depth of about five meters. There are a wide variety of marine life here, including cuttlefish, lobster, ghostpipe fish, bluering octopus, nudibranchs, seahorses, ribbon eels and scorpion fishes.


On the coral reef at a depth of ten meters, there are reefs known as "Blue Trigger Wall" because of the reef with a length of 18 meters is a lot of red-toothed trigger fishes.



Maratua has several world-class resort that offers lodging together amid the beauty of this island. Lodging houses there are built over the water, so that visitors can interact and enjoy the beauty of marine life Maratua Island.

Visit Raja Ampat Islands, West Papua, Indonesia


Raja Ampat will keep anyone spellbound. The natural beauty, especially the oceans, making Raja Ampat a traveler's paradise. Raja Ampat is one of regencies in the province of West Papua, Indonesia. The capital district is located in Waisai. The district has 610 islands. Four of them, namely Misool Island, Salawati, Batanta and Waigeo, they are major islands.
